Lufthansa Service Sucks!


Well, today is day 6 of Matt's checked luggage still missing. Lufthansa has been unresponsive, uncaring and unprofessional during the whole ordeal. Additionally, if you call Lufthansa's lost luggage customer service department it costs you, the consumer with the lost bag based on their negligence, 12 cents per minute!!! Can you believe that?

Then we did some more research online and found out that the airline is only liable for 1,200 Euros per passenger per trip!?! Thanks to this wonderful Montreal Convention which the EU ratified in 2004 and was enforceable effective June 28, 2004.

Let's just hope they magically find Matt's bag because the cost of the bag and its contents exceed 1,200 Euros....

A co-worker just last week told me about 2 Lufthansa experiences he had. Not involving luggage, but with additional charges when connections were missed. Service was as you report. He looked on the web and found many other stories of horrible service.

Unresponsive, uncaring and unprofessional is called Customer Service in Germany.
