Schloss Dyck

Today we visited Schloss Dyck. The castle is only about a fifteen minute drive from our apartment in Duesseldorf to this beautiful place. It was built in 1094 and it is surrounded by gardens from the 17th Century. If you are in Duesseldorf and have time I recommend visiting this location. We even bought some freshly-harvested apples, strawberries and potatoes!!

*sigh* I've been to this castle, I remember so vividly when I saw this picture, feeling like I was coming home driving down that treelined driveway!
