Rosenmontag

Today, for me, marks the end of my first Karneval. I had such a blast! It was fun and crazy. Imagine the wildest street party you've ever been to and there you have it, Karneval in Duesseldorf. I am too tired to write any more. Here are few pictures and you can click on my Flickr badge for all of them:

Looks like fun. I've just returned from carnival in Viareggio, Italy, where the floats are three and for storeys high.

Well James, I'm sure you've got more than just this to see. Yes Carnival is awesome, but you'll still have the street parade to partake in! I'm sure you'll love that too! and it will be warm out which always makes for more fun... :)

So do you think you'll miss this if you went back to SF?

Love the shots, James. Maybe some day I'll be in Hannover during Karneval. My g'son would have loved Thomas the Train (which I'm sure was something else)!

Looks a lot better than the parade we had in Marburg. The Iran bomb float is excellant :)

Hello from another English-speaking ex-pat in Cologne (ok, so it's not quite Dusseldorf, but it's close enough!)

Glad to hear you had a great time at Karneval, it was a real blast here in Köln too.

Love the pics :)
