Kaiserwerth today

We went to Kaiserwerth this afternoon for a nice stroll around the area. It is a cute little town near Duesseldorf. Here is a typical looking building:

This is another typical building in Kaiserwerth:

This field is right along the Rhine in Kaiserwerth. It was so peaceful and the air was so fresh. It was a nice relaxing stroll for a Sunday afternoon:

I love the pics and appreciate all of the beauty in those buildings... :) The last pic reminds me of where I was living just outside of Basel.

Those Sunday afternoon "strolls" are just wonderful, aren't they! So glad you're getting out and about, whether near or far.

if you like cycling, in the summer you should just cycle along the Rhine either up to Kaiserswerth or down towards Neuss. It's gorgeous!

If you liked Kaiserswerth, than you have to visit the small medieval town of Zons, too. It's situated between Dormagen and the north of Cologne, on the Rhine's left bank. I guess it's a fifteen to twenty minutes ride by car from Düsseldorf. There you'll find a lot of charming old houses like the ones you saw at Kaiserswerth. Moreover, Zons has a "Stadtmauer" (medieval wall) all around the old town, with gates and everything. It's quite a lovely place.
